Having born into a reputed musical family of Kolkata, I was strongly influenced by various forms of Indian classical music from childhood.Since the age of 3, I started learning " Pakhawaj ", one of the oldest and most exciting and versatile North Indian Classical percussion instruments ever, under the guidance of Pandit.Rajib Lochon Dey & Pandit.Apurba lal Manna(of LalaKebal Kishan Gharana),Pandit .Vittal Das Gujrati and Pandit.Manik Munde(of Nana Sahab Panse Gharana). I also studied the South Indian Ghatam & Konnakol(speaking the rhythm) under the guidance of Pandit. S.Shekhar.
